<<<<< previous blog next blog >>>>> album containing this post's photoDay 6 of Covid. All symptoms have been replaced by excessive flatulence. My fart cloud and I will continue to self isolate.
I've been digging into current science on when I can stop isolating and get back to having a life. My main motivation is to not endanger other people. I hang out with old people, since I'm old. Which is a risk factor. If I made someone sick with this fucking virus I'd be gutted. But the science based guidelines on how long you are contagious are all over the map. Many combinations of symptoms and "five days" and negative test and fever and "yes but mask".
Here's the data : I'm at day 5-6 depending how you count it. Other than the first two days my symptoms were very mild. Yesterday was close to no symptoms and today I feel normal. But I tested positive last night. So 5 days and no current symptoms but test says I'm full of Covid.
I've read several sources, and I have my own take on the reality of it, I'm sure we all do. But the last thing I want to do is just Trump it and assume if I have a random gut feeling about virology I'm always right. So...... I'll just sit here and binge watch YouTube for another day or two.
In the meantime I've become excessively farty. It's lucky for me I didn't get the Covid diarrhea thing or I'd be Doordashing some underwear. Thank you god for not making me shart myself for a constant 48+ hours in my old age best life.
Maybe just quit running the numbers over and over and test again tomorrow. Make a chicken and andouille pizza for dinner. Play some old school Master of Orion. Watch the hummingbirds. Do some housework. Fart very carefully.
I follow the socials of several PNW photographers. The crazy coast photos people are out taking RIGHT NOW while I'm locked in my apartment are making me very jealous. Big photogenic snow is coming to the mountains. I have Dirtwine tickets for the 11th. There is a growing list of Portland food trucks I want to get to. We're burnin' daylight here.
