Here are some random shorts that I can't seem to expand into a long blog post. Perfect for short attention spans.

Or maybe I'm old and my brain has pissed away all it's creativity due to advancing age. Seems like I used to often drag out long blog posts from trivial ephemera all the time. So old and boring maybe? Probably not. More likely I'm just lazy and boring.

The water kettle I use for boiling water conveniently has a clear pot so you can see how close the water is to being done. Yesterday I happened to be awake enough before coffee to notice something floating inside it. Turns out it was a spider carcass. So... pretty lucky it's clear and I can see things in the water. Do you have a clear water kettle? Or are you likely drinking spider broth without knowing it? I know, right? You are welcome.

The last two mornings I've gotten up at 4am to drive downtown and take morning photos. But of course I've been living here for 25 years, and I already have photos of everything around there. So I'm taking photos of things I already have photos of, on top of the photos I had before that, and the photos I had before that. Why? Do I really have nothing better to do at 4-7am? Like stay in bed maybe? Some travel needs to happen soon. That's for sure.

I've been feeling silly for getting all my groceries delivered because of covid/lockdown. It has to be crazy expensive to do it that way. How much money would I save if I just went to the store instead? Well this morning, after wasting two hours taking photos I don't like, I went to the store to get a few groceries. Everything was more expensive than if I'd had it delivered, even accounting for tips and fees. Now I feel silly for thinking delivery was silly.

No idea how I got to it, but I ran across Sierra Ferrell's music somewhere. Worth checking out. I prefer the non-album recordings where nothing gets in the way of her voice. It has a distinctly vintage sound that seems like it's being channeled from the past through her. She has a cool backstory as well if you're into that.
