Down in the Hobbit hole

Shelter in place gourmet, lizard curry edition.

Last week my sister was dealing with the covid lock down by getting crafty and building some bird traps. I suppose to supplement the cook pot in these trying times. That might sound odd, but Montana has always had a strong culture of hunting and gathering. I've never had Sharon's bird stew but I'm guessing it's tasty.

So I decided I would join in and "hunt" some food myself. We don't have birds here in San Diego, but we do have tons of wild lizards. So I rounded up some of those from around the apartment and made this lizard and lentil curry. I thought the mini bread bowl idea was fun. And it turns out there isn't much meat on our inner-city reptiles, so.... yeah, mini bread bowl. People say they taste like chicken, but that's silly. They actually taste like lizard of course. I can get authentic Peruvian food delivered here, so the whole notion was likely not worth the bother. Live and learn.

Other than that, life has been all World of Warcraft lately. Especially since I have two weeks vacation to burn through by the end of the year. With all the canceled vacations due to covid I haven't taken much time off. So now I have to use it up just sitting at home. Of well.

The new expansion is really good. Which is especially happy making. Since it will be the next two years of my life. The last one was rather heartbreakingly bad and annoying. See you all in-game.
